Disarmament and International Security Committee (DISEC) is the first General Assembly committee that deals with any issue regarding disarmament, global challenges, and threats that could affect globally  certain situations. This also includes the committee’s involvement in trying to find possible solutions to the challenges that the international security regime faces. DISEC considers all disarmament and international security matters that are included in the UN Charters,  which contain all purposes and principles established in 1945.
